GOOT anti cold flu salve

GOOT (garlic oil ointment)

Here is our standby for our cold and flu season ailments. This stuff is awesome, completely safe, and both antibacterial and antiviral. :) My friends and I all use this and it WORKS! DISCLAIMER: I am not a medical professional please consult your Dr. for medical treatment.

The basic recipe is this: Chop up 3 Tablespoons of raw fresh garlic (don't use a press), mix it into 3 Tablespoons of slightly warmed organic coconut oil, and 3 Tablespoons of cold pressed olive oil. Let steep for 20 min, Now strain garlic pieces out well and discard. Mix and refrigerate. Will last 2 weeks in the refrigerator. The coconut oil is a solid at cooler temp. so it will turn into a salve. Rub onto throat, chest, back, or feet. The healing properties of the garlic, and coconut oil will penetrate the skin and fight off infections, and virus'. I've used this even on infants. If you do notice a rash on very delicate skin after prolonged use wash it off and wait a few days before using it again.

At the very first sniffle I'm mixing this up. It really helps! You know how your child can start to get a runny nose and it's clear and then progresses to a more green/yellow infectious discharge? The goot will keep it clear, and the healing process is so much faster. I like to spice my goot up a bit and add 2-3 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil, and 2-3 drops of organic cayenne oil. I think it just makes it all the more effective but if you don't have those things they can be omitted. :) Blessings to your health this flu season.
